Becky ends her run here, having covered over 430 miles to bring awareness to research specific to pediatric oncology and spreading the word of the valuable work of the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
Childhood cancer, the second leading cause of death in children ages 1-19 years, exceeded only by accidents, has increased by 0.6% per year since 1975, when cancer registration began in the United States. An estimated 15,780 new cases are expected to occur in 2016 and 1,960 will die.
Becky Mudd is using her love of running to make a difference for the children who have been and who will be affected by pediatric cancers. Becky Mudd’s Run For Gold brings awareness and funding to the fight against pediatric cancer.
