First, in case anyone missed the dates when I announced them, I will be starting my journey in St. George, Utah on Saturday, May 28th and finishing on June 11th at the Colorado border for a total of approximately 430 miles over 15 days.

This is going to take a village. I work full time in a demanding position that I absolutely love! There are simply not enough hours in the day to get everything done to prepare. Fortunately I have a tremendous amount of support from my work family. I would like to introduce a few of them as you will be seeing their names mentioned.

Utah's scenic Byway 12Janice Cavalletto Kovacevic is a lovely person and she will help me keep up with posting updated information on social media as well as here on the blog. She will also be using some of her own vacation time to crew for a couple of days. All of this in addition to her busy family life.

Brandi Caskey and Ken Lanxner of Simple Lives Web Design have taken on building the website for me that will make it so much easier to find everything pertaining to this event in one place, linking my donation page, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. And the best part, now I’ll be able to write a blog! Brandi also is a very busy lady with a family and will be doing this in her spare time.

Tyler Kent Crossno is our very talented Graphic Artist in Public Affairs, a student and is an amateur photographer (he’s very good!). Between Tyler and his student photography friends, we will have some amazing pictures!

I am so grateful to Janice, Brandi, Tyler and so many of my OCWD family. They all support my goal and believe in the mission.

There’s more exciting news! Sponsors! I’ll go into detail about our sponsors another time, but get used to these hash tags:

#sparkleathletic #teamsparkle

#visitutah #LifeElevated

I am hoping for a few more sponsor announcements early next week, one really big one! Each and every one of the sponsors will be recognized individually as that is what they deserve. I am so grateful to all of them. Again, they support my goal and believe in the mission.

I have one more person that I would like to thank at this time, Christine Farwell and the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). I am honored to be partnering with this amazing foundation again this year. They are doing so much to further research for all Pediatric cancers. 2.5 million research dollars raised last year!!! Thank you for all of your love and support Chris. It’s going to be an awesome ride!

Of course I would not be able to do this without the love and support from all of you! Thank you for your faith in me and what we can accomplish together. Oh what we will accomplish together!!!!
